Job Description
We are seeking motivated electrical and/or computer engineering undergraduate students interested in building a career in design verification. During this remote internship, you will be expected to complete the University of Houston Universal Verification Methodologies (UVM) badge program as well as participate in a series of activities for personal and professional effectiveness within BAE Systems Engineering Development.
The activities include mentorship from experienced managers and engineers, and participation in classes and workshops to expand knowledge of yourself, technology and the Company. Finally, you’ll network and collaborate to make lasting connections with peers, co-workers and leadership.
During the internship, you will have opportunities to gain awareness of several aspects of FPGA Verification, along with practicing the necessary skills to prepare you for success in the workforce.
FPGA Design Engineers focus on creating VHDL code for FPGA devices then Implement and Synthesize the Design using FPGA tools (e.g. Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond), but FPGA Verification Engineers focus on creating SystemVerilog/UVM code to build a logic simulation test environment to verify VHDL code functions work as intended.

Required Skills and Education
- Currently pursuing an Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from an accredited college.
- You have explored digital design and FPGAs either in coursework or, projects, and are enthusiastic to start your career focusing in that area.
- You constantly ask questions and love learning.
- You love working together with a team.
- Willingness to complete the University of Houston Universal Verification Methodologies badge program
- US citizenship or permanent residence required.
- Must be eligible for a US DoD security clearance.
