As an experienced Survivability Engineer, you will support the Specialty Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines Organization in one or more of the following areas:

• Applying electrical, electronics and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering field

• Ensuring that NASA, commercial, and military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space radiation and manmade radiation

• Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as technical consultant for management and customers

• Working closely with the design team, test, reliability, and other engineering disciplines in the development of mission analyses, identification of MMOD mitigation strategies, and support trade studies

• Joining the enterprise Survivability Engineering group, will be partnered with other authorities, mentor and lead peers

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Radiation/Nuclear Physics or related engineering discipline (or equivalent) with approximately 9 years of professional experience

• Experience working with Natural Space Radiation and Manmade Radiation Environments and design hardness, and ability to perform tasks pertinent to Survivability discipline

• Experience using Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)

• Experience using Software tools for performing electrical engineering and mathematical analyses (e.g., MATLAB, etc.)

• Experience working in Test laboratory environments and associated test disciplines using tools/test equipment
such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators

• Knowledgeable in Electronics and /or semiconductor physics

• Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
