THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1592P01 and is part of the TN ARMY Army National Guard.

Substitution for specialized experience:
Have a 2 years or a master’s or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in on of the following: public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields.

As a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR, GS-0342-10, you will plan, program, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of the state. Coordinate all administrative functions within the operating components of the state to provide the most effective support; forecast problems and needs, identify required resources to include budget, and develop staff facilities and procedures to carry out the resulting program; provide leadership in negotiating with operating personnel and in securing acceptance of proposed programs. Plan and assign work to be accomplished within the organization. Sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Serve as Printing Officer and is responsible for managing the state’s Federal Printing Program, providing printing services in support of the National Guard state headquarters and subordinate units. Develop and implement policies and procedures necessary for the effective administration of the Freedom of Information/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) Program. Administer the statewide military correspondence management program. Perform other duties as assigned.
Military Grades: 1LT (O-2) through LTC (O-5)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning and organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to obtain their cooperation or compliance with procedures, rules, or practices. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least one year at the next lower grade level. Experience dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience planning and directing a variety of clerical operations. Experience using methods and procedural steps and working under general instructions to meet the objectives of support service programs.
