PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, needs a Mechanical Engineer in Baghdad, Iraq for State Department construction project. Requires a US Govt. Secret Security Clearance. 70% uplift from base salary.
The Project
Bulk Fuel Tank Project in Baghdad, Iraq which includes:
Installation of a fuel storage farm and related distribution system
800,000 gallons of diesel fuel storage, 400,000 gallons of aviation fuel (JP8)
Fuel receiving ports and 400,000 gallons of mogas
Modification of perimeter wall for new fuel receiving ports
Testing and recirculation of aviation fuel
Control room
Fire protection/suppression system upgrades at eight existing facilities
New fire pump house
We ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year, but 24 months are available if you want them.
Compound housing provided.
Uplift includes 70% of base salary.
Benefits include (medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, round trip flights home every 4 months)
Position Description
You will:
Provide DOS/OBO with full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight.
Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor construction contractor’s quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance.
Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.
Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections.
Requirements
US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
US Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
Current US PE license can substitute for degree
7 years construction experience
ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor’s or US PE
