Logistics Management Specialist

Naval Supply Systems Command

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master’s or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of integrated logistics and supply functions. Examples of specialized experience include most or all the following: 1) Ordering and tracking material in accordance with plans to meet requirements; 2) Resolving problems relating to receipt of material, shortages, damage, rejection, repair, return, loan, diversion, material transfer and/or cannibalization; 3) Reviewing contractual and higher authority directives and documentation; and 4) Maintaining up-to-date status of milestone plans and prepare reports.
