Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:

GG-06:

-Experience entering and reconciling accounting transactions.
-Experience balancing assigned financial accounts.
-Experience reconciling expenditures and correcting accounting errors.

This position is within the Work Category TECHNICIAN & ADMIN SUPPORT at Work Level ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL, Series and Grade GG-0503-06.

GG-07:

-Experience utilizing accounting systems, codes, classification, and terminology.
-Experience examining invoices, vouchers, and related documents.

-Experience applying procedures and processes to assemble, review, and maintain complex accounting budget, accounting, or fiscal transactions.
-Experience applying accounting, budget or financial management laws, regulations, and requirements to ensure compliance and recommend actions.

This position is within the Work Category TECHNICIAN & ADMIN SUPPORT at Work Level FULL-PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0501-07.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
