Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineer on the Missile Systems Engineering and Team.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility, one of the Coolest places to work: Englewood CO

What does this role look like?

As an Electronics Engineer, you will perform engineering functions in support of the US Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics Tactical/ Missile Kit (TMK) .


Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Perform investigation of hardware failure during acceptance at the part, CCA and package levels.
• Apply circuit design and troubleshooting principles to develop new and improve existing electronics hardware.
• Assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of existing Avionics Hardware.
• Perform circuit simulation with tools such as ORCAD PSPICE
• Create and maintain documents to include Electronic Drawings including Schematics, and other Avionics Hardware documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits.
• Support all aspects of the avionics electronic package design, development, , , and verification activities including requirement development and flow-down.
• Work with other Subject Matter Authorities to understand the hardware and systems.
• Assist with investigations and tests at customer and supplier sites.
• Provide technical leadership to a group of junior electronics engineers.


To be effective in this role, you will need:

• 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master’s degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, you will need to possess these basic qualifications. Please make sure you address them on your resume:

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience performing failure Investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level),

• Experience with circuit design, troubleshooting and / or circuit analysis.

• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
