The Boeing Company is seeking a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Electrical Engineering Technical Designers (Wire Installation Design) who will provide engineering support across the Boeing portfolio of products, to include – but not limited to – Boeing Military Aircraft, Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, VC-5B, KC-46, B-1B, B-2, B-52 and others).

This position will be physically located in Oklahoma City, OK or San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

Associate (Level 2)

  • Maintains releases and assists in developing electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
  • Using design tools, prepares documentation and incorporates basic design changes.
  • Creates, develops and maintains elementary systems designs. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs.
  • Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Works under general supervision.

Experienced (Level 3)

  • Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards.
  • Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes.
  • Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.
  • Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
  • Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex.
  • Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Works under general direction.

Senior (Level 4)

  • Leads, develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards for multiple customers.
  • Manages, interprets and develops design requirements. Uses design tools to document and maintain configuration design control.
  • Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and integrating systems elements.
  • Validates complex engineering system design and functionality.
  • Leads the process for product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to complex.
  • Coordinates activities and products with cross-functional groups, internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Reviews and assigns work to others.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK or San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • One or more years working with aircraft wiring installation in an electrical capacity

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of work experience in EE Technical Design in wiring installation
  • Experience working with electrical architectures on a defense program
  • Experience troubleshooting complex issues where the root cause may not be immediately clear
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

Associate: $49,300 – 86,250

Mid-Level $59,500 – 102,350

Senior $ 70,550 – 123,050
