You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Information Technology Service Division (ITSD) cost center at the U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position (i.e., Major study — photography, radio or television production, motion picture production)
Successful completion of a Master’s or equivalent graduate degree as stated above provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Successful completion of two “2” full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Troubleshooting audiovisual equipment in classrooms, conference rooms, lecture halls, auditoriums and other audiovisual spaces;
- Responding promptly and providing a workable solution to audiovisual equipment issues in academic spaces; AND
- Performing routing audiovisual maintenance such as testing audiovisual systems prior to use, cleaning and replacing lamps and filters on projectors, and updating equipment firmware as needed.
