This position is located in the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE (NCIS) AGENCY of the DON. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the “How to Apply” section of this flyer to be considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following

Minimum Qualification

1- FAA commercial or Airline Transport Pilot’s license

2- Instrument Rating

3- 2000 total flight time in Airplane-land category

4- 500 total time in make and model King Air 200/350

5- FAA first or second class medical certificate

Applicants must demonstrate each of the six competencies listed below:

1- Situational Awareness – having an awareness and understanding of all the relevant information available and be a good judge of what to anticipate/how to respond.

2- Teamwork – expected to understand each of the crew’s roles, anticipate their needs and work as a team to ensure safety procedures are carried out.

3- Application of Procedures – demonstrate an understanding of procedures relating to aircraft safety (including identifying the source of operating instructions), aircraft systems, controls, and instruments.

4- Knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures, aerodynamics, flying fundamentals, aircraft instrumentation, ground and flight emergency procedures, and instrument and visual flight rules.

5- Workload management – manages available resources efficiently to prioritize and perform tasks in a timely manner under all circumstances.

6- Problem Solving and Decision Making – accurately identifies risks and resolves problems. Uses the appropriate decision-making processes.
