Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:
Come join Lockheed Martin in The Last Frontier! We are currently seeking a dedicated Structures Technician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. The vast wilderness of Alaska offers a virtually unlimited playground for the outdoor enthusiast, while nearby Anchorage provides the same amenities you would find in any large city. This position is located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska supporting the F-22 modification line. Domestic travel may be required. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities. Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Repairs, replaces, and overhauls F-22 aircraft structural systems to ensure airworthiness.
-Determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of blueprints and aircraft drawings.
– Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.
– Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
– Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
– Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule.
– Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
– Must acquire an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

Physical Demands:
– Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
– The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of aircraft structural repair and/or APG experience

3+ years of tool control and FOD prevention experience

2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
