Job Description

You will be an Aircraft Electronics Technician working as part of the Collocated Maintenance Team (CMT) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Our team performs letter check inspections for Air force Special Operations Command’s fleet of heavily modified C-130 aircraft. Your efforts will help ensure that our warfighters have the necessary tools and equipment to deter our adversaries or if required, bring the tip of the spear to them.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Aircraft Electronics Technician, your duties will include:
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and advise on problems operating and maintaining aircraft Electronic Warfare Systems, associated components, subsystems, and test equipment on C-130 aircraft. Ensures aircraft are in good mechanical condition and systems are operating and functional for flight.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in avionics systems, integrated test systems built-in-test (BIT), multiplexed data bus systems, recording systems, video display systems, mission computer systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and sensors.
• Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force Technical Orders, manufacturers’ manual, or similar document. Solves maintenance problems using wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and technical publication by analyzing operating characteristics of EW systems.
• Determine proper maintenance procedures to repair and return systems and components to maximum efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctions and recommends corrective actions.
• Receive technical guidance, as required from a supervisor or higher-level technician, and is reviewed for compliance with technical guidance and accepted practices.
• May also provide technical guidance to lower-level technician.
• Additional tasks are required and include but not limited to: HAZMAT/HAZWASTE handling, corrosion control, inspection/repair, maintenance inspection, aircraft launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, towing, and jacking of aircraft.

Please be aware that Lockheed Martin has recently identified that, on or before October 31, 2024, the associated scope of work will transition to a sub-contractor, which has not yet been identified. Lockheed Martin is supporting the complete transition of employment for employees impacted with the transition and will keep open lines of communication during the complete process.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of C-130 aircraft Electronic Warfare Systems, Avionics and Electrical System experience

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
