About the Position: Manages Administrative Program. Responsible for the overall management and/or accomplishment of all general administrative and personnel functions and actions required for the support of the organization and its civilian and military personnel. Serves as the organization focal point for all administrative, personnel and finance matters. This includes providing assistance and guidance, and working to resolve and finalize pertinent actions and issues.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Utilize automated systems to input, query, and retrieve administrative program and/or data; 2. Provide guidance to personnel on matters pertaining to an organization’s administrative functions; 3. Assist in scheduling or coordinating events for an organization; and 4. Preparing funding, procurement, or administrative documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
