The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Test & Evaluation Flight Simulation Lab Technician to join the Flight Simulation Labs located in Berkeley, MO.

This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team, and the applicant will be working in a fast-paced environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware requiring technical skills in both electronic hardware development and trouble shooting. In this role you will be supporting repairs and modifications to Boeing manufactured Lab equipment and Simulators.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Test & Evaluation Flight Simulation Lab Technician.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Installing and maintaining Flight Simulation equipment consisting of computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations and rack equipment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time

  • Design, fabricate, build and analyze test systems, materials, components, and methodologies

  • Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown

  • Conduct tests, analyze data and documents results; participate in test readiness reviews

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time

  • Coordinate test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs

  • Work under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • (Level 2) 1+ year of work related experience with an Associate’s or related work experience with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years of work related experience

  • (Level 3) 3+ years of work related experience with an Associate’s or 1+ years of related work experience with a Bachelor’s or 5+ years of work related experience

  • Experience working with electronics, mechanical systems in design fabrication or test troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • Experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of Digital and analog video distribution

  • Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment

  • Experience in the field of simulation, electronics, or avionics, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or aircraft maintenance

  • J-STD-001 solder certification

  • Experience working in an Engineering Lab environment and/or comparable Military experience

  • Experience with installation / maintenance of Video Display Walls or Mulit Display systems

  • Ability to disassemble/modify monitors & projectors

Summary pay range (Associate, level 2): $47,600 – $64,400

Summary pay range (Experienced, level 3): $55,250 – $74,750
