Job Description

The Integrated Combat Management System (ICMS) market segment Chief Engineer organization is seeking Common Source Library Technical Lead/Engineering Program Manager (EPM) that will be responsible for providing technical, process and strategic leadership across all current CSL programs while helping to bridge the gap to the ICS and SESI contract activities. This role will partner extensively with all current CSL program EPMs/TDs subcontractors, and government representatives to provide and coordinate technical execution and strategic leadership for, capability development in the CSL, Maintenance updates to Inservice assets and collaboration with SESI teams on the transition to the Integrated Combat Systems (ICS)
This role will also include considerable customer interaction with various customer departments within PEO-IWS and MDA organizations. These interactions will come from participation and presentations at regular (monthly) Cross Program Team (CPT), Engineering Review Teams and Program Management Team meetings.
The ideal candidate for this role must be a collaborative team leader willing and open to drive collaboration activities internal to LM (1LMx, Digital transformation, sharing of best practices) and external to with Customers (leading cross program teams, collaboration between CSL and ICS)

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline / equivalent from an accredited college combined with 18 years or more of related professional experience; or 15 years of professional experience with a related MS degree.
• Candidate must have extensive Software Project Management experience in the design and integration of large scale, complex systems, and product lines.
• In-depth knowledge of SW Product Line development
• Demonstrated experience leading Internal and External SW and Systems Engineering development teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading external customer (IWS1, MDA, IWS 80…) discussions.
• Demonstrated experience leading transformational change activities.
• Knowledge of agile and DevSecOps standards that govern software development and integration processes is essential.
• Candidate must be well versed with system engineering processes including top-down design, model-based engineering practices, system requirements development and allocation to system elements to equipment, software, and across organizations (both Lockheed Martin and subcontractors) responsible for implementation of these processes.
• Candidate should be experienced in working in a matrixed product team organization to accomplish tasks. Candidate should have the communication skills and ability to motivate and influence individuals outside his/her organizational boundaries to accomplish wider organizational goals. Ability to mentor and influence engineers of all levels is also essential.
• Experience managing multiple SW Subcontractor scope.
• Candidate must be willing to travel between LM-IWSS (Moorestown), the Washington, DC area customer and partner facilities.
• Experience in interfacing with uniformed military officers and civil servant personnel is mandatory. Candidate should be comfortable with presenting to the customer and all levels of internal and external senior management.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
