This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirements of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD 1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000, and members of the Contingency Contracting Force are also exempt from meeting this requirement
.Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/). Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in this vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for the NT-04:
- A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
- Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for the NT-03:
- Master’s or equivalent graduate degree.
- Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
- LL.B. or J.D., if related.
To qualify for the NT-04: in addition to the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or administering contracts in support of an acquisition program.
To qualify for the NT-03: in addition to the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-5-7 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or administering contracts in support of an acquisition program.
