FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the “How to Apply” section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. (GS-05):
You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following:

A. Successfully completed four years of education above high school level

OR

B. Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. GS-05
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector supporting accounting work to examine, verify and maintain accounts and account data.

GS-06
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preparing and analyzing reports from accounting systems, examining procedures and policies and providing account maintenance and support (i.e., in-processing, out-processing, separating service members, processing adjustments, etc.).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
