With general direction and limited review, this position is responsible for developing governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with data management best practices. The role involves working across departments to enforce data governance policies, improve data quality, and ensure that data is managed ethically and efficiently to meet the organization’s business intelligence and analytics needs.

We are seeking a talented data driven individual to join our newly established Reporting Analytics and Governance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operations and governance of designing and developing interactive data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement a data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of data quality standards and monitoring systems.
  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Identify data quality issues and coordinate resolution processes with relevant stakeholders
  • Serve as a liaison between data stewards and technical teams to ensure data stewardship policies are enforced across the organization.
  • Establish ownership and accountability for data across departments, promoting a culture of responsible data usage.
  • Manage intake process for all reporting requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations and reports
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and six or more years technical experience working with computerized systems such as financial, accounting, purchasing, payroll, human resources, manufacturing, or other business related systems. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
