You will serve as a Security Specialist in the PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, SPECIAL PROGRAMS BRANCH at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. The duty station is Cherry Point, NC. There is no educational substation for experience for this series, at this grade level. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying comprehensive knowledge of Physical Security, Personnel Security, Information Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), Information Assurance (IA), Special Access Program Security, and Industrial Security to perform the following:
1) Serving as a technical expert providing full range of security support
2) Participating in analysis, making comments and recommendations from the security perspective, including personnel adjudications, physical facility protection, administrative and automated information systems policies and practices
3) Assisting in formulating and improving security risk management policy guidance and support
4) Conducting inquiries of reported security violations, to adjudicate reported discrepancies
5) Providing oversight and compliance inspection of organized personnel responsible for the protection of classified/restricted information.
6) Conducting assessments on threats and vulnerabilities, determine the level of risk, and develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations.
